Have a couple of UK VoIP Engineering positions to fill in the UK for our award winning client.

Our client's VoIP Development Team creates and maintains multi-award-winning Internet Telephony service, providing cloud-based telephone exchange functionality to thousands of UK businesses. 

Additional senior staffing is required as the client is in the process of doubling the capacity of this service to meet rising demand, and building up a second VoIP environment based in the North of England to provide our customers with additional security and service.

Essential Job Functions

Creating new VoIP products and services
Maintenance of existing VoIP products and services
Investigating and resolving customer issues as required by 1st and 2nd line support teams
Working with Customer Services to exchange knowledge of services and systems
Maintaining individual awareness of alternative VoIP platforms and architectures

To perform the role successfully you will be:

Working with in-house integration and middleware scripts, mostly written in Perl
Working with databases mainly using MySQL
Maintaining and expanding test procedures
Working with protocols and standards such as SIP and UDP
Working on TCP/IP networks that make heavy use of UDP and NAT proxies
Diagnosing and fixing faults in mini-threaded C applications such as Asterisk, running on Linux platforms
Learning new programming and scripting languages

Qualifications

Knowledge of Asterisk and YATE
Educated to degree level or equivalent

The package will depend on experience but the salary range is £25-£35k but exceptional candidates should still apply quoting their requirements.
