Client support: Deeper not wider

A client has contacted us for advice on their website.

I'm a complete Luddite on technical matters but was able to link them up with a range of our suppliers.

Why were we called?

Well "you might be direct Chris, but at least I understand what you say, rather the technical gits who speak in their language"

I think that was a back handed compliment.

On a more serious note it is good to enjoy the depth of relationship with clients that they feel able to pick up the phone and call you.
