Coalition recruits Lib Dem to head up recruitment sector of Department of business.
Liberal Democrat Edward Davey MP has been appointed as minister with responsibility for recruitment industry regulations within the Department for Business (BIS).
This suggests that those hoping for a more laissez faire approach from a Conservative administration could well be disappointed.
As always with these things the outline of new regulations is known but the devil will be in the detail and with only 15 months to 1 October 2011 the recruitment industry wants to be getting on with planning its future.
Over regulation will reduce scope for imaginative recruitment solutions and possibly destroy a business mosel that has worked well in this country since the end of the second World War.
