Case Study Five
Case Study Five
Tim is a solicitor with 5 years PQE. His last appraisal made it clear partnership is not going to be offered and he was asked to increase his fee target per annum to £250K. Tim works on a mix of commercial client work including employment law. Tim brings in lots of work for the firm but the high earning cases are taken over by the partners. So he is now in the situation of trying to earn more fees from a large case load of average earning cases. Tim has become busy; he is struggling to reach his targets, and has a miserable work/life balance.
Tim has looked at starting his own firm but cannot afford the start up costs; he has a moderate client following and is looking for a job elsewhere.
He is registered with 3 legal recruitment firms but no positions are being offered to him locally.
