November 2009 - Is outsourced labour the way forward?

We predicted a bath-shaped recession and against third party expectation the UK economy remains seriously underwater. Mervyn King Governor of the Bank of England has publicly acknowledged the dire state of the economy but unfortunately there is worse to come.

Unemployment is a lag indicator and will continue to rise. We are failing to address national debt issues and once more we are the sick man of Europe.

However within the general malaise we are still seeing demand because as within any economic cycle there will be winners and losers. If you are a winner use this discount voucher – as a certain small retailer says “every little helps”

Is outsourced labour the way forward?

outsourcing Understandably, employers are nervous. “Is the increase in my order book sustainable?”

Need to react to short term orders but cannot find flexible efficient and cost effective staff?
Why not discuss your needs with us. If you have a job description send it here.

If not why not use this new site we are sponsoring job-descriptions.co.uk. As the title implies “a quality job description is the secret to effective recruitment”.

It comes as no surprise that the £ is under pressure

Our belief is that it is an unstated government policy to devalue. It will never be stated as this would cause a run on the £ and a Gilt strike.

What it means to UK employers is that if they have a skills shortage (and yes these still exist) it will be more costly to compete in the global village for labour.

We are also seeing an increasing number of overseas employers coming to the UK looking for skills endorsing the global village statement. Here is an example from a sister company.
